How long have you been an artist? all my life :)
When did you decide
to make art? Or was it a conscious decision? i never decided to make art. i have always
been compelled to create.
Is there one particular
artist or any person that helped you along way? A role model? A source of encouragement? having
an artist as a mother definitely spurred my creative spirit. i grew up surrounded by water colors, colored pencils,
charcoal, pastels, etc, etc. i accompanied my mother to many art shows and festivals.
Of your work, what piece makes you feel like you’re onto something? Which one
do you like the most? whenever i feel connected to a subject i feel as if i am *on to something.*
i tend to revisit the same idea, letting it build upon itself until it is settled. i'm typically led toward another
direction, taking a piece of the previous series with me.
Did you or do you ever feel like giving up? If you did, what kept you going? i
have learned to listen to my muse. she is always right! she knows when i need rest, when it is time to step away from
my work. when i fight her...disaster strikes.
To someone who wants to travel the path you’re traveling, do you have any advice? follow
your bliss and listen to what others have to say regarding your work, but always follow your internal instinct.
