there is a commission i have
been waiting to start! i received it last december from a dear dear friend. she's setting up her bedroom and
making it her haven from the busy world that surrounds her. i'm excited about this because i can't wait to start dyeing again and this project is all about a whole lot of dyeing! jolene
has requested a bedroom set based within the calming colours of a clear and clean blue turquoise ocean..... from
the silk sheets and pillow cases to the queen sized duvet, crocheted bed skirt and window panels.... this room will be
a place for j to relax and just chill out.................. i will be writing a series of blogs on this project, showing colours
samples, dyed silk swatches along with a general running commentary on this progression of this work. if time
allows, project footage will be added to show the work in progress.

monday, the day after Easter.
things are good. busy. it snowed yesterday and michael and i worked the day... i know. we're boring.
working on Easter.
 this 8mm piece of china silk is sectioned, manipulated and secured to a canvas. i've had it
for a while. i love the colours!!
spring is here and the weather will soon turn.
i'm always more
productive with my dyeing when its warm..... where's the sun!!!
